Spring Internship Opportunity
Is public relations your passion? Do you want to experience life in the agency world? Then an internship at GLA Communications is for you. We are a fast-paced boutique PR agency looking for an undergraduate student who is eager to gain real world, hands-on experience. Here at GLA, our interns participate in all aspects of our work including brainstorm sessions, client calls, writing, research and social media.
Responsibilities:
With guidance from our experienced staff, interns are responsible for:
- Researching and developing targeted media lists
- Monitoring coverage and preparing client reports
- Editing press releases, media pitches, media alerts, etc.
- Assisting with new product launches
- Assisting with planning press events and conferences
- Participating in staff meetings and client calls
Qualifications:
- Junior or senior with classroom experience in PR, Communications or Marketing
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Internet research
- Familiarity with Cision is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Must be passionate about public relations
- Must be eager to learn and be part of a team
- Solid understanding of social media
Details:
- Part time schedule – 16 hours a week
- Office hours 9:00am-5pm
- Paid internship $10.00/hour
